Enter Kirkwood House and find your story.
You arrive at the Kirkwood House, a Victorian retreat house in Cornwall-On-Hudson, New York, to find friends, fellow writers, and a new perspective on your life journey.
You start the day with yoga, attend writing workshops, are inspired with writing prompts, and share your writing with fellow writers. You find time to walk, chat, write, and dine with new friends in a quiet, beautiful country setting.
Join Mary Beth Coudal for a four-day, three-night retreat weekend. Be inspired as you write your memoir from September 27 to 29, 2013 at Kirkwood Retreat House.

As a participant, you will:
- Share, celebrate, and critique great writing.
- Read from your work in progress.
- Enjoy delicious, farm-fresh meals.
- Attend a daily yoga class.
- Dine one night in a nearby artists’ restaurant.
At the end of the weekend, you will have:
- Created a community of supportive writers.
- Written chapters of your memoir.
- Found threads of meaning in seemingly random moments of your life.
- Discovered the next steps to continue the good writing work.

Prices include all meals from Friday teatime to Sunday brunch.
Who
This retreat is open to the experienced, casual, and reluctant writer. The weekend is led by Mary Beth Coudal, who owns and operates the Writers’
Boot Camp East and was formerly the staff writer for the General Board of Global Ministries and the senior writer for United Methodist Women.
Mary Beth is a blogger whose personal essays have been published in the New York Times, Salon.com, and Self magazine. She believes in the power of dangerous and authentic writing to transform lives. She may be reached by email at bootcamp4writers@gmail.com.

Cancellation Policy
As part of our efforts to maintain small class sizes, we request a commitment to the space reserved for you upon registration. Thus, if you need to cancel or transfer a workshop for any reason, the following refund schedule applies.
Two to four weeks before class start:
100% refund available
One week before class start:
50% refund available
48 hours or less before class start:
No refunds available
