It’s time to start thinking about your favorite stories of fall. Choose the best one and write it as your submission for our Fall Contest. We intend to publish the best story on our website, www.bootcamp4writers.com.
Do you remember a special fall from your childhood? This might include Labor Day, Back to School, or your favorite Halloween costume. Maybe you are thinking of a story from your adult years.
Your story might be light and fun or poignant and sad. Write your story and submit it to our FAll Memoir Contest. Below are the few rules we have:
1 — Deadline is October 31, 2016.
2 — Length is between 750 – 1200 words.
3 — Be sure to give your story a title and craft a powerful opening and closing. The opening is your one chance to grab your reader and make us want to read on.
4 — Include your name and a brief 2-4 sentence bio.
5 — Email contest entries to:
writersbootcamp (at) gmail (dot) com
6 — Put: FALL CONTEST ENTRY — as your subject line so that it won’t get lost in our email. We can’t promise to spot your entry if you use another subject line.
7 — Either attach your entry to the email as a .doc file or copy and paste the entry into the email itself. Either way is fine.
Your story remains your own. Notification and publication in early October.
Bootcamp4writers is a writing collective owned by Kelly Wallace and Mary Beth Coudal. Their mission is to empower memoirists, bloggers, and creative writers to tell their stories and get them published.
